ABOUT THE SEA VIEW GOLF CLUB FACILITIES MASTERPLAN PROJECT
Sea View Golf Club is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the development of a Facilities Masterplan designed to secure the club’s future and enhance its role within the community.
With our current Crown Land lease expiring in June 2027, this project is essential to demonstrate increased community benefit while continuing to deliver an exceptional experience for members.
Working alongside leading consultants Place Development and Woods Bagot, the masterplan will focus on:
– Enhancing member facilities and amenities
– Supporting long-term lease renewal
– Expanding community access and engagement
– Strengthening financial sustainability
– Modernising the clubhouse while respecting its heritage
Importantly, there will be no disruption to members, and no changes to the 9-hole golf course layout. The focus is on improving built facilities and practice areas only.

•Securing lease renewal through demonstrable community benefit

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Facilities Masterplan Project aims to develop a clear, strategic vision and pragmatic pathway for our club’s future. With our Crown Land lease expiring 30 June 2027, the masterplan must demonstrate enhanced community benefit to secure lease renewal from the Town of Cottesloe. The masterplan will consider enhancements to the clubhouse, practice facilities, and amenities to meet members’ needs, modern standards, and sustainability goals whilst expanding community access and preserving our heritage character. This is a planning and consultation phase, not an active construction phase. The masterplan will act as a blueprint for future development.
A team of best-in-class consultants and golf specialists is leading the project. The primary consultants include Place Development (Development Manager) and Woods Bagot (Architects). A Sea View Golf Club Working Group has been established, and the Board will be involved throughout the masterplanning process. Will this process impact my current membership, course access, or facilities? No. Members will not experience disruption to their current membership, course access, or facilities during this Stage 1 masterplan phase (14 weeks). The process is designed to be entirely consultative and non-intrusive. Any future construction or development would only proceed after final masterplan endorsement, detailed planning, statutory approvals, and member consultation.
No changes to the 9-hole golf course layout are proposed. The masterplan focuses on built facilities and (potentially) practice areas only. Golf course quality and playability remain core priorities.
